How to get started with EGYM Genius for operators
To get started with EGYM Genius AI, your facility needs:
- EGYM Fitness Hub and a connected scale
- At least 3 Smart Strength machines (requirements may vary by region), ideally with EGYM Pro
- Branded Member App, including the Genius widget
- If you intend to use Genius for Trainers, make sure to have the Trainer App, including the Genius widget
With these technical requirements met, the next step is to input your entire gym inventory into the EGYM Business Suite, EGYM’s online operator portal. This includes both smart machines and analogue equipment.
With this foundation in place, EGYM Genius AI can begin generating daily, adaptive workouts for members based on their fitness level, goals, and real performance data.
Genius is available in two different modes: Genius for Trainers and Genius for Members.
Genius for Trainers
With Genius for Trainers, training plans are created inside the Trainer App.
- Genius suggests individualised training plans using member assessment data and all available gym equipment
- Personal trainers retain full control: they can customise exercises, exclude machines, and adjust workouts as needed
- Members receive the plan directly from their PT
This mode enhances trainer efficiency while preserving the personal trainer–member relationship.
Genius for Members
Genius for Members enables members to create AI-powered training plans independently within the Branded Member App.
- Workouts are automatically tailored to the equipment available at each specific gym
- No personal trainer interaction is required
- Members can adjust workouts directly within the Genius widget
This approach supports self-guided workouts while maintaining high-quality personalisation.
